About Jeff's Journal

Some background is necessary here: We'd created a private website for taking care of Ranch business. I had asked Jeff to provide some journal entries that would be posted on this family site until we could establish his own site for all his friends & family, where he could record his experiences. He dutifully sent the beginnings of his journal, covering the first week, with the following instructions:

I've documented my experiences and feelings over the last four days. I transcribed these thoughts as soon as they entered my mind and I just wrote them down without paying attention to correct, grammatical English or to proper sentence structure. Since you are the Master of technical writing and whatever, please free to edit/revise/change the document to make it presentable for the Wiki site. The only request I have is to keep intact the basic emotions, ideas, facts, and whatnot that I presented in my notes. The document I wrote is very powerful and emotional, I choke up every time I read it.........the emotional wuss I am. Let me know your reaction when you first read it, okay?

His journal was so powerful that edits were entirely unthinkable & never even attempted. It is also so lengthy that it cannot be published in its entirety as a single post. Instead, it is broken out into smaller chunks that you can read as individual entries.
